Senior Workday Consultant – Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking (PATT)

The Job:
Acuity is seeking a Senior Workday Consultant with strong experience in Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking (PATT). This role focuses on post-production support, AMS services, and Phase X project delivery.
We are looking for a consultant who brings deep functional knowledge, strong analytical ability, and the confidence to operate autonomously while still being a collaborative team member. The ideal candidate demonstrates ownership, communicates with clarity, builds trust with clients, and consistently delivers high-quality results.
Requirements:
Workday PATT Support
- Provide ongoing post-production and AMS support across Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking.
- Independently troubleshoot complex issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and deliver accurate, timely resolutions.
- Own and deliver configuration updates, enhancements, and Phase X requests – scoping work, managing testing, coordinating deployment, and documenting outcomes.
- Maintain and optimize existing configuration:
- Payroll earnings, deductions, tax setup, balance impacts, validation rules
- Absence plans, accruals, carryover rules, eligibility, and leave programs
- Time entry profiles, schedules, calculation rules, validations, work tags, and overtime/holiday logic
- Ensure all solutions align with Workday best practices, downstream impacts, and client operational processes.
- Anticipate potential issues and proactively recommend improvements to reduce risk and increase efficiency.
Client Partnership
- Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for clients’ PATT support and enhancement needs.
- Communicate clearly, setting expectations and translating technical configuration into business-friendly language.
- Demonstrate strong customer success behaviors: reliability, follow-through, thoughtful problem-solving, and consistency.
- Build rapport and credibility by understanding client workflows, constraints, and priorities.
- Provide structured documentation including requirements, configuration steps, and testing results.
Team Collaboration
- Operate independently with limited oversight while collaborating effectively with Acuity colleagues.
- Share knowledge, contribute to internal standards, and help build documentation and best practices for PATT support.
- Manage and prioritize workload across multiple clients or competing support requests, demonstrating strong organizational skills.
- Approach work with accountability, integrity, and a problem-solving mindset.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Workday experience across Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking.
- Demonstrated experience in post-production support, AMS, and Phase X enhancements.
- Strong configuration capability across all PATT modules with the ability to diagnose issues and propose scalable solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes.
- Strong attention to detail and a disciplined approach to documentation and testing.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and respect for client confidentiality.
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to build lasting client relationships.
- Organized, reliable, and proactive in workload and time management.
